About Me

Art is Life.

I've been drawing ever since I was able to hold a pencil, and it's grown into a life long passion and dream. Art has always been an important part of my life and my family. I learned a lot of my skills from my mom who does traditional pencil art, where as I learned all my musical skills from my Dad who plays guitar and piano.

I've been playing piano since I was 8 years old, which expanded into learning guitar at 16, and picking up smaller instruments to try out along the way. I've also been singing since I was 5 or 6, but started joining choirs when I was 9.

For traditional artwork, I've taken part in all different art classes since I was small, and always was the first to volunteer on creating banners and posters for my schools. I was part of the "Dead Painter's Society" at my high school, helping to make murals to hang around the school. I was head of the Annual Committee for 5 years where I learned a lot of my graphic design skills and business skills, gaining me the Best Business Student award from my high school.

When I started post-secondary, I began an Associate of Arts Degree at Capilano College majoring in Art History. From there I took part in the Animation Fundamentals summer program, learning skills in commercial animation both traditional and flash.

My next move was to join SFU in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) where I began a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Media Arts.

Here I have learned skills in Film, Photography, Graphic and Spatial Design. A little bit of programming and 3D animation.

once I've completed my degree, my plan is to become a part of the Animation and Video Game industry.
